This series contains correspondence, memorandums, employment agreements, farm visit reports, accident reports, monthly narratives, requisitions, newspaper clippings, personnel files, and booklets. Included are records created by the El Centro District Office in the Imperial Valley, California. The materials document the management of the Mexican Farm Labor Agreement between the United States and Mexico; of Farm Labor Supply Centers, including sanitation, food, housing, transportation and activities; the repatriation of workers to Mexico; labor agreements with growers and worker wages. Records relate to agricultural activities in southern Arizona and the Imperial Valley of California, including the use of Native American and interned Japanese workers.

The Seasonal Farm Laborers Program also known as the Bracero Programs were the result of a series of laws and diplomatic agreements, initiated on August 4, 1942, when the United States signed the Mexican Farm Labor Agreement with Mexico.
